Bexhill & Battle Lib Dems Blog - an interactive news and information site

Bexhill & Battle Lib Dems Blog,  Interesting to get a call from the local Liberal Democrats party, I am not affiliated with them, I have not voted lib dem so a total cold call, from a party member looking for a in community local web designer to provide an addition to the parties web service. They required an interactive blog for their readers, scalable to multiple devices and a blog where comments and feedback could be left on the published articles securely and free from spam. Now we can’t create and publish the articles for the blog but we have created the template, with multiple access login accounts for both Blog and Website updates that they can control.

The scope, as mentioned a site to host the Bexhill & Battle lib dems blogs, with comments, that will auto size images, fits to all manor of devices and looks to be an extension of the national party’s website but for the local party, oh an passing the designer requirements of a seasoned IT consultant, someone who has a lifetime in not just technology but programming and consulting, luckily we seem to be cut from the same cloth. Thank you for the opportunity.

I am interested to see what they do with it now they have control.

The brief included:

  • A Website to host a blog for one of the UK voting parties
  • Interactive
  • Multi-user, role based security structure
  • template to stand up to multiple editors
  • Hosting and Domain registration
  • Working to strict guidelines and approvals
